Jhon Tamayo was born in 1967 in the south of Colombia. At the young age of 13, he left home in search of his true self. Jhon began traveling throughout South America, where he had the opportunity to meet and embrace countless people, with whom his experiences would later prove to be pivotal in his journey to discover a deeper understanding of life in a raw, organic form. Jhon created the Atmananda Yoga Sequence after he saw many yoga students in New York City injuring themselves, and realized that this was a result of other various yoga styles paying little attention to alignment in their teachings. He created the sequence in such a way that equips yoga practitioners with the tools they need to become more conscious about which movements may be the source of their aches and pains, and learn how to adjust their practice in order to prevent future injuries. The word Atma means ‘self’, and the word Ananda means ‘bliss’. No one has the power to give you bliss, only you can elevate yourself to total self bliss.

Sarra quit the corporate world and has been on a spiritual and yogi journey for the past 5 years. She spent 6 months in Asia exploring herself and training in yoga and meditation. She is certified in Yin Yoga, Vinyasa, and Yoga Nidra. A wonderer and lover of life, she settled back in Miami on January 2018 to partner with Jhon T. and start a new endeavor now called Atmananda Miami to share her journey with the community she loves so much. Passionate about teaching and yoga, Sarra’s vision is to create a community of like-minded people who want to explore themselves, find healing, and fall in love with life.
Hey y’all! I’m Kristina! I grew up classically trained in dance and after college moved to New York for professional dance life. It was here where my fascination and appreciation for how the body works and moves began. In moving down to Miami I found a depended practice with yoga, found more awareness, and have learned to balance life. I am passionate about movement therapy. Using my dance background and yoga to help comfort and find connection between body and mind is my goal. Come move with me! Open your hearts, your minds, and those hips!!
For Rachel, yoga began as a personal practice and dedication to personal wellness. With a background in martial arts, she resonated with the rigorous Ashtanga Yoga practice. Through her dedication to the practice, she found the stillness of the mind, awareness of the body and reflection of the spirit. After six years of committed personal practice and readings of sacred texts and Yoga philosophy, Rachel journeyed to the ashram at Shoshoni in Colorado. At Shoshoni, she lived on the Ashram, performed seva, practiced meditation, and experienced the various disciplines of yoga daily while training to complete her Hatha yoga teacher training. When she’s not on the mat, she enjoys the outdoors, reading , traveling and spending time with her family.
With over 20 years experience, Roya has built an extensive network of peers and fitness industry professionals. She draws on a broad background of fitness certifications and specialty fitness formats/techniques. She has been featured on Deco Drive, and internationally on CNN and Telemundo. Roya also creates custom branded fitness formats which have been adopted and launched by top gyms in both North and South America.
In 2015, I decided to take a leap and follow my passion for yoga. I enrolled in my first teacher training, studying traditional Hatha Vinyasa yoga. Today, I continue the learning journey, I practice daily, and I share yoga with my community. I have used mindful meditation and movement to connect the mind, body, and soul. My personal practice evolves and shifts as I evolve and shift, much like life itself. I create value with others as I share personal experiences, thrive in my purpose, and continue to learn and practice on a daily basis.

Shely is trained in Yoga, Tai Chi, Wing Chun, Reiki, sound healing, and meditation since 2012. She leads a Meetup group for community yoga to motivate people to connect with nature more. Having a passion in keeping the mind and body strong, Shely is ready to share what she learned from various teachers and backgrounds.
I’m Christina, a Miami native passionate about living the best life I can live. Passionate about connecting deeper with myself and others, yoga has helped me find the light inside of me that I didn’t know how to turn on. When I embarked on this journey, I had no idea that it would lead me here but I am so grateful that it did. Besides yoga, I’m passionate about photography, music, Mother Earth, animals, food, being outdoors, aerial/suspension fitness and making all types of art. Yoga has truly brought love and harmony into the foreground of my life and I’m eager to deepen my spiritual and physical practice through teaching, and sharing this gift with others.
Natasha is a fitness trainer/instructor in Miami with swimming and gymnastics background. Her specialties include Pilates, BUTI Yoga, Spinning, KANGOO Jumps, DISQ, Aero-Ropes, and Belly Dancing. She is also AFAA Certified. Natasha is known for being enthusiastic, agile, flexible, literally flexible, happy, and positive.
Sri Sudarshan learned Yoga from the world’s most authoritative and renowned spiritual masters. Receiving his name, Sri Sudarshan, meaning “Remover of blindness and ignorance and bestower of true vision” and “Divine Grace through Self-Effort,” he has committed his life to disseminating the ancient teachings of Yoga. Having received the profound blessing of Initiation, Sri Sudarshan is now under the direct guidance of his beloved Guru, Pujyatman Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda at the Yoga Research Foundation in Miami, FL, the direct disciple of one of the world’s most esteemed and prominent Yoga Masters to have ever lived, Param Guru Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati. Sri Sudarshan also received Initiation and tutelage from Sri Swami Rajarshi Muni, a direct disciple of Sri Swami Kripalvananda, at the Lakulish Yoga University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Sri Sudarshan reminds his students of three profound questions: “Who Am I? What is my Purpose? and What is my Goal?” Sri Sudarshan has been practicing and teaching Yoga through many lifetimes. Bringing philosophy into action is his way of serving the world at large and teaching others how to calm the body, quiet the mind and unfold the natural beauty of the spirit.
