Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
This prenatal yoga teacher training course will help you gain confidence in working with prenatal clients. You will learn how to teach prenatal yoga group and private classes or seamlessly integrate a prenatal client into your regular yoga group classes. This 1 week intensive will cover aspects of teaching, anatomy, lifestyle, philosophy, ayurveda and massage during and after pregnancy.

Sarah Giordano RN, E-RYT 500
With over 15 years of yoga experience Sarah studies a variety of yoga techniques (including vinyasa, kundalini, tantra, prenatal and yoga therapy) pilates, gyrotonics, and dance. Sarah is a registered nurse working in an Emergency Department in downtown NYC. Her background in both western and eastern philosophies to wellness create a holistic approach to the body. Sarah is drawn towards a lifelong journey of learning which she hopes to inspire in our teacher trainees at Atmananda.
Danielle Augustine RYT 500, RPYS
Danielle is a 500hr Certified Yoga Teacher trained at Atmananda Yoga Studio in NYC. She is a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Alma College where she studied acting, music, psychology. Danielle studied Drama and Music therapy at the Center for the Jewish Elderly in Chicago. She is certified as a Prenatal Yoga Instructor and Leader of Women’s Circles in 2018.
Liz Gavin RN, Doula, NC-BC
Liz is a RN and Board Certified Nurse Coach. She has spent the last 8 years focused on Maternal Child Health working as a Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Nurse. She began pursuing a career in Nursing after discovering she had a passion for supporting women as a Doula. While working as a Doula and Nurse, Liz continued her studies and graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a BSN in Holistic Nursing in 2016. She is certified in clinical nutrition for Nurse Coaches through the Institute for Functional Medicine, graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, is a Certified Lactation Consultant and Lamaze Childbirth Educator. Liz is affiliated with CONNECT a non profit dedicated to preventing interpersonal violence and promoting gender justice through transformational education. She is passionate about making the connections between physical and mental health.
Amita Banerjee, Ayurveda Wellness and Life-style Consultant
Amita is currently the Resident Ayurveda Expert at Atmananda Yoga, New York, NY. She has the distinction of being the first student of the internationally known Ayurvedacharya Dr. NainaMarballi. For fifteen years, Amita interned with and assisted Dr. Marballi, going deep into the knowledge of Ayurveda. This science has covered all aspects of human life and wellness for six thousand years. Even with the astounding advances of modern medicine, Ayurveda, has kept itself present and relevant in all aspects of human life. Amita’s life mantra is: “All in Divine Order,” and she adds that “nature provides us with everything we need for health and balance.”
