Candle-lit Yoga

It’s time to wind down from the workweek and recenter for the weekend. It’s time for Candle-lit yoga. Focusing on poses that specifically benefit those that spend a good deal of time sitting at a desk and/or running around all week, this vinyasa-flow will revitalize the body back to its most grounded, relaxed and open state. A candle’s flame represents the source of creation, our inner light. Reconnect to yourself, your inner-light, and your precious “me-time” with the guidance of the healing powers of evening yoga. Open to all levels.

Twist, Flow & Detox

In this sixty-minute vinyasa class, you will use each breath to restore and detoxify the body by engaging in deep twists and prolonged reverse stretches. Detoxing through twists supports postural alignment and aids in digestion. Stretching releases toxins built up as tension throughout your body. The use of breathing techniques promotes circulation and respiratory detoxification. Join us in this open level practice and leave feeling rejuvenated, light, and open.

Gentle Yoga for Beginners

Are you new to the practice of yoga or has it been a while since you’ve visited your mat? Or maybe you’re just looking for a calming, gentle vinyasa flow to shake off the stress from your week and move happily into the weekend. This class provides spoken and visual demonstrations including guided modifications to gently stretch and strengthen the muscles, loosen the joints, and restore the body.

Hip Opening

Hip opening focuses on the specific components of the sequence which help release stress and tension in our body by opening the hips. Breath work, combined with stretches, open channels in our energetic bodies so that we may better absorb and utilize Prana to facilitate healing on deeper levels.

Vinyasa Flow

Based on the Atmananda sequence, this dynamic vinyasa flow will take you through forward bends, backbends, and twists while connecting with breath to create a full body experience of connection, balance, and release.

Yin and Sound Healing

Come explore and perhaps redefine vulnerability on a mind, body, and heart level. Breath-work exploration, prop-support, and sound healing bring to this class a restoring and nourishing vibe. This class includes long-held deep stretches that help reduce inflammation—challenging the mind to surrender and allowing the physical and subtle body to open. This is a class every New Yorker needs.

Prenatal Yoga/Post Natal

Our prenatal / postnatal yoga class provides a space for mother’s and mother’s-to-be to connect to each other and reconnect to themselves. Our class focuses on building strength, stamina, breathing, patience and acceptance that aid in both birth preparation and allows for a quicker post-natal recovery. Our class also helps to deepen sleep patterns and find balance physically, mentally and emotionally during all phases of the transition into motherhood.
Pregnant women must wait 12 weeks into pregnancy before coming to class and 12 weeks after giving birth to come back for postnatal. ***Please sign up in advance if you are planning on coming to the class***

Restorative, deep relaxation to assist the mind and body through the many changes experienced in pregnancy.

Restorative & Props

This practice uses props and seated/floor postures held for longer periods of time to produce deep relaxation of body, mind, and spirit. We will start out with a short meditation, breath work, and gentle stretching of the neck and shoulders. Through the journey of asanas, music, and aromatherapy, we will restore our senses and invite into our lives the rhythms & echoes of our Pachamama. May she embrace you completely, may we nourish her freely. All levels welcome!
